ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis City man has filed a class action lawsuit against a Florida base debt collector, alleging deceptive collection practices.

Brady Keenan, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint March 3 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against Hunter Warfield Inc., alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 7, Keenan received a debt collection letter from Hunter Warfield regarding a debt he allegedly owed to West End City Apts Phase I. The plaintiff alleges Hunter Warfield failed to provide the required notice and failed to comply with the debt validation notice requirements.

Keenan seeks trial by jury, actual and statutory damages, attorney fees, costs of suit and all such other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney Joel S. Halvorsen of The Halvorsen Law Firm in St. Charles, Missouri
