EAST ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing her former employers, citing alleged failure to properly pay discharged employees.
Tayler Rujawitz filed a complaint on March 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois against
ATPE LLC, f/k/a ATFP Inc.; ATPF Inc.; Michael Anderson; and Heather Anderson,
alleging that they violated the Wage Payment Collection and Payment Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 4, 2016, she was terminated from her employment. At the time of her discharge, she received her final compensation, including her vacation pay. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to pay her minimum wage and proper overtime compensation and failed to maintain proper time records.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for final pay including vacation pay, plus interest, costs and attorneys’ fees. She is represented by Ferne P. Wolf, D. Eric Sowers and Joshua M. Pierson of Sowers & Wolf LLC in St. Louis.
