ST. LOUIS — A former employee is suing supervisors and parking facility management, citing alleged gender harassment creating a hostile work environment.

Brooke Libbert filed a complaint June 21 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Charles Washington, Midwest Parking Solutions of Columbia Inc. and Greg Bohlman alleging that the defendants violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was sexually harassed and treated differently than her male coworkers while employed by the defendants. She alleges she was called pet names in front of customers and other employees and her concerns were dismissed when she reported the alleged harassment to her supervisor. As a result, the plaintiff was constructively discharged.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to treat all employees as equals and give them equal opportunity in the workplace, failed to prevent the discrimination and ratified the decision, and denied the plaintiff her rights as an employee on the basis of her gender.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for actual damages in a fair and reasonable sum over $25,000, and punitive damages, together with the maximum rate of interest allowed by law, cost of suit, attorneys' fees and for all other relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Bret C. Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
