ST. LOUIS — A driver from St. Clair County, Illinois, is suing another motorist, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 5, 2015, the Hill and Simpson were involved in a car crash when their vehicles collided. Hill claims she sustained serious and permanent injuries that will continue to cause her pain and suffering, mental aguish and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Simpson responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently operated her vehicle at excessive speed and while using a cellphone and failed to maintain a careful lookout.
