Illinois driver alleged to have negligently changed lanes in St. Louis collision

ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges a Wood River, Illinois woman negligently changed lanes and caused a collision in St. Louis.

Derione Cain filed a complaint on April 20 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Jennifer Nicosta alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 14, 2017, he was traveling on Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis when suddenly and without warning, defendant caused her vehicle to collide with his when she changed lanes. He alleges he suffered serious, permanent and disabling injuries to his head, neck and back and incurred medical expenses of more than $10,000 as a result of the collision. 

The plaintiff holds Nicosta responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield to the right of way and negligently changed lanes without giving signal or warning of her intention.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of no less than $25,000 and all other relief that are proper and just. He is represented by Robert S. Merlin and Sarah H. Hale of Ray B. Marglous PC in Clayton.
