ST. LOUIS – A woman is seeking damages from another driver over allegations a rear-end collision earlier this summer totally destroyed her vehicle, which was valued at more than $20,000.

Cheryl Turnbough filed a complaint on Sept. 13 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Daniel P. Herrmann alleging personal injuries and property damage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 1, she was driving a 2017 Nissan Juke-S and was stopped at a light on Jamieson Avenue in St. Louis when the defendant violently struck her vehicle from the rear. She alleges she sustained personal injuries to her lumbar and cervical spine, muscles and bones, property damage in the amount of $20,250, and car rental expenses presently at $3,262 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Herrmann responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to stop or swerve to avoid colliding with her vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no less than $25,000, and all further relief as the court seems just and proper. She is represented by James M. Martin of Martin, Malec & Leopold PC in St. Louis.
