ST. LOUIS — A couple is suing an employer and its driver for allegedly failing to follow traffic rules, causing a collision.

Henry Tiemann and Elizabeth Tiemann filed a complaint in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Pearl Street Electric LLC and Lindsey R. Kuehner, alleging Kuehner failed her duty to operate and maintain a vehicle to avoid harming others.

According to the complaint, the couple alleges that on Feb. 27, 2015, Henry Tiemann was driving southbound on River Des Peres Road in St. Louis when Kuehner's vehicle collided with his vehicle while working for Pearl Street Electic.

As a result, the couple claims they incurred medical expenses and suffered mental anguish and loss of normal life.

The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because Kuehner allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, drove at an excessive speed under the circumstances and failed to yield the right of way.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for sums in excess of $25,000 as a jury deems fair and costs incurred. They are represented by John M. Hughes of Mogab & Hughes Attorneys PC in St. Louis.
