Car accident 38

ST. LOUIS — A vehicle owner is suing a motorist for allegedly striking her vehicle, causing severe damage.

Sherre Copher filed a complaint Sept. 20 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Willie D. Powell, alleging the defendant failed to operate his vehicle in a careful manner to not injure other individuals.

According to the complaint, Copher alleges that on Oct. 12, 2016, she was driving on Kingshighway when her vehicle was struck by the defendant's vehicle. As a result, Copher claims her vehicle was damaged and lost value and she had expenses amounting to $4,363.62, plus additional damages for loss of use totaling $412.34.

The plaintiff holds Powell responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to keep his vehicle under proper control.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in the amount of $25,000 together with court costs and further relief the court deems proper. She is represented by Mark G. McMahon and Michael B. Hill of Law Office of Mark G. McMahon in Clayton.
