ST. LOUIS — A landlord is suing a former tenant, citing alleged negligence and property damage.

SNS & B By Grace LLC filed a complaint in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Theresa Sullivan alleging that the former tenant failed to comply with the rental agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 16, 2016 the plaintiff's rental property at 5825 Southwest in St. Louis suffered fire damage in the amount of $83,382.59. The plaintiff holds Sullivan responsible because she allegedly left something cooking unattended on the stove, which caused a fire to occur.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $83,382.59, plus court costs, and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. SNS & B is represented by Mark G. McMahon and Michael B. Hill of the Law Offices of Mark G. McMahon in Clayton.
