Parent of minor hurt in accident asks court to approve settlement

ST. LOUIS — The parent of a minor child is asking the court to approve a settlement reached with a motorist.

ST. LOUIS — The parent of a minor child is asking the court to approve a settlement reached with a motorist.

Ava Sullivan, a minor, by and through her father and next friend Brian Sullivan, filed a petition on Nov. 21 in the St. Louis Circuit Court asking for approval of a settlement reached with Nicklaus Baker.

According to the petition, the plaintiff alleges that on March 7, 2015, Ava Sullivan suffered personal injuries as a result of an automobile accident involving Baker.  The minor and the defendant reached a settlement for attorney's fees and third-party payments in the amount of $3,939.69. 

The plaintiff is asking for approval of the settlement in the best interest of the child. She is represented by Andrea Stanley of Brown & Crouppen PC in St. Louis.
