ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis woman is suing ARC Management Group, LLC, citing alleged negligence.

Terry Bledsoe filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against ARC Management Group, alleging that the debt collector violated Fair Debt Collection Practices Act through abusive, deceptive and unfair debt collection practices.

According to the complaint, Bledsoe alleges that on Sept. 13, she suffered damages from receiving a collection letter from ARC Management Group in its attempt to collect a debt on behalf of the original creditor. However, ARC Management Group charged an additional collection fee for payment by credit or debit card against agreement or law. Bledsoe holds ARC Management Group responsible because it allegedly attempted to collect an amount not owed by Bledoe and caused her to retain and pay for counsel.

Bledsoe requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, actual and statutory damages, attorneys' fees and costs, declaratory relief, expenses and disbursements and further relief as the court may deem just. She is represented by Yaakov Saks of RC Law Group, PLLC in Hackensack, New Jersey.
