Benefit plan trustees claim Rena Final Cleaning failed to make all contributions

ST. LOUIS — Employee benefit plan trustees are suing Rena's Enterprise LLC, d/b/a Rena's Final Cleaning Co., citing alleged breach of contract.

Greater St. Louis Construction Laborers Welfare Fund, Construction Laborers Pension Trust of Greater St. Louis, AGC - Eastern Missouri Laborers Joint Training Fund et. al filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against the defendants alleging that the Missouri corporation breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they have suffered monetary damages from the defendant's failure to abide by the collective bargaining agreement. It failed to pay $3,777.58 in contributions between Oct. 5, 2011, and Sept. 30, 2012, and failed to obtain and maintain a surety bond in favor of the plaintiff funds in the amount of $25,000, pursuant to the agreement. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because it allegedly failed to fulfill its obligations under the agreement by failing to pay the required contributions and furnish evidence of surety bond.

The plaintiffs seeks judgment against defendant, submit reports for January through June 2014, plus required contributions and liquidated damages, interest, costs, accounting fees, attorneys' fees, and further relief as the court deems appropriate. They are represented by Janine M. Martin of Hammond and Shinners PC in St. Louis.
