ST. LOUIS — A former laboratory supervisor is suing her a former employer, a hospital, citing alleged deprivation of rights.
Mary J. Harrison filed a complaint on March 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Northern Division against SSM Audrian Health Care Inc., d/b/a SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital-Audrian, alleging that it the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 5, 2016, she was unlawfully terminated from her employment due to her age. As a result, she has suffered lost wages, retirement benefits and other other employment benefits. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly willfully subjected her to abusive, discriminatory and retaliatory behavior by singling her out and treating her far less favorably than her younger, similarly situated coworkers.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages. plus liquidated damages and interest, costs of suit and such other just and equitable relief. She is represented by Waldon L. Moss of Moss Legal LC in Columbia.
