ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis motorist is suing an Illinois motorist, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Karriem Houston filed a complaint July 24 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Alec Low alleging that Low negligently drove the vehicle at an excessive speed for the road conditions.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff on June 15, 2015, was traveling on Riverview Drive when his vehicle was struck by an automobile being driven by defendant. Houston claims he sustained injuries to his back and neck and has suffered pain and the loss of ability to enjoy life, and has incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Low responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to incoming traffic and failed to maintain a careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court and any other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Lorenzo Hester of The Hester Law Group in St. Louis.
