Woman claims St. Louis property owner failed to warn about hole in front yard

ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing a St. Louis property owner, citing alleged negligence.

Barbara Davis filed a complaint in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Randy Davis, alleging that the property owner failed to provide a safe premises.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 26, 2015, the plaintiff was lawfully at the defendant's property when she was seriously and permanently injured. She allegedly stepped into a hole in the defendant's front yard and sustained injuries to her right shoulder, resulting in pain and mental anguish. She claims she had to pay for necessary medical care and treatment as a result. The plaintiff holds Randy Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to fill or barricade the hole and failed to warn invitees of the existence of the hole.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in excess of $25,000, costs of this suit and all other relief the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Robert H. Pedroli Jr. and Eric A. Ruttencutter of Pedroli & Gauthier in Clayton.
