Woman seeks over $50,000 in damages for St. Louis crash

ST. LOUIS — A vehicle owner is suing a motorist, claiming insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Cathy Rhodes filed a complaint Sept. 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Robert Reid Jr., alleging he failed to maintain control of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 11, 2016, was on Netherton Drive in St. Louis when she was struck by the plaintiff's vehicle. She claims she sustained personal injuries, pain and suffering as well as property damage totaling $6,316. The plaintiff holds Reid responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently caused the vehicle he was operating to strike and collide with the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $6,316 for property damage and $50,000 for personal injuries, costs of court and any further relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Mark G. McMahon and Michael B. Hill of Law Offices of Mark G. McMahon in Clayton.
