Girl claims she was injured after being struck by driver on Highway 21

Car accident 26

ST. LOUIS — A minor and her father are suing a motorist, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Alexis Camden, a minor, by and through her father and next friend, filed a complaint Sept. 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Joseph Tharp, alleging he failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Jan. 24, Camden suffered bodily injuries when she was struck by a vehicle operated by defendant while trying to walk across Highway 21. The plaintiff holds Tharp responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently caused the vehicle he was driving to struck the minor plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks an order for the defendant to settle this matter and other relief deemed proper. They are represented by Sean P. Dolan of Evans & Dixon LLC in St. Louis.
