ST. LOUIS — Vehicle passengers are suing employer and employee, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Chyra McTeal and Tiya McTeal filed a complaint Sept. 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Jason Rains and JTK Sales Inc., alleging that Rains negligently made improper use of lanes.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 11, 2012, Chyra McTeal and Tiya McTeal sustained serious and debilitating injuries when their vehicle was struck by defendant's vehicle after he drove into a parking lane on Idaho Avenue in St. Louis. They claim they have suffered physical pain and medical expenses. The plaintiffs hold Rains and JTK Sales responsible because Rains allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to yield and failed to slow down or stop to avoid collision.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against defendants in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court and costs expended for this action. They are represented by Cecil L. Skaggs of Central West End Law Office in St. Louis.
