ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another driver over injuries and loss of property resulting from a collision.
Steve Welch filed the complaint on Oct. 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Alexia Boyle, alleging that the motorist failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 1, 2016, he was lawfully driving along Dunn Road in St. Louis when the defendant carelessly caused the motor vehicle she was operating to strike and collide with his vehicle. The plaintiff holds Alexia Boyle responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm, and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for property loss in the amount of $6,102, plus $22,000 for personal injury damages, in addition to court costs and any further relief the court deems proper.
