Car accident 21

ST. LOUIS — Two women are suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Paulette Roebuck and Mary Roebuck filed a complaint on Dec. 18, in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Philip Quartey alleging that he breached to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug. 9, 2017 they were traveling southbound on Newstead Road through its intersection with Natural Bridge Road when the defendant carelessly entered the intersection against a red traffic signal and crashed into their vehicle. They allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries that caused them to experience pain and suffering, diminished movement and lost wages.

The plaintiffs holds Quartey responsible because he allegedly failed to stop at the red light traffic signal, failed to keep careful lookout, and failed to reduce speed or change direction to avoid the collision.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek compensatory damages in a fair and reasonable amount in excess of $25,000, costs of suit, and such other relief as are necessary and proper. They are represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone, Sumner & Lauber in Clayton.
