Driver accuses other motorist of negligence

Car accident 18

ST. LOUIS — An automobile driver is suing another driver, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Denise Davis filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Kami Amsden alleging that she  failed to exercise the highest degree of care while operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 19, 2017 she was driving an automobile on Broadway at its intersection with Convention when the defendant carelessly attempted to make a left turn and collided with her vehicle. She allegedly suffered injuries to his neck, head, shoulders and other parts of her body.

The plaintiff holds Amsden responsible because she allegedly failed to keep careful and vigilant lookout, and failed to slacken speed or stop to avoid colliding with her vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount in excess of $25,000 but not more than $75,000, costs expended herein, and any further relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Theodore H. Hoffman and Steven M. Gelfman of Hoffman & Gelfman Attorneys PC in St, Louis.
