Man accused of negligently driving while intoxicated

ST. LOUIS — Two passengers are suing a motorist, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Roger Hargett and Delores Cario filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Cortez Harris Jr. alleging that he failed to maintain proper control of his motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 22, 2015 they were injured when the motor vehicle they were riding in was by struck the defendant's vehicle. They allegedly suffered injuries and damages in excess of $17,000. 

The plaintiffs hold Harris responsible because he allegedly negligently operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek judgment in their favor for damages of more than $17,000 for each of them, court costs, and any further relief that are just and proper. They are represented by Mark G. McMahon and Michael B. Hill of the Law Offices of Mark G. McMahon in Clayton, Missouri.
