JKC Trucking accused of negligent entrustment of vehicle

Car accident 05

ST. LOUIS — A motor vehicle driver is suing a truck owner, alleging negligent entrustment.

Quincey Hall filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against JKC Trucking Inc., alleging that the truck owner negligently entrusted its truck to a careless and incompetent driver.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 10, 2017 he was injured when his vehicle was hit  by a truck driven by the defendant's employee. He allegedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to his neck, back, shoulders, arms and legs.

The plaintiff holds JKC Trucking responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly violated the plaintiff's right of way, failed to keep proper lookout and carelessly drove across the plaintiff's lane of travel.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks compensatory damages in an amount of more than $25,000, with interest, costs, and all other relief that are necessary and proper. He is represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone Sumner & Lauber in Clayton.
