Southern Glazer's Wines & Spirits, employee accused of negligence in crash

Car accident 43

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing Terry Edwards and his employer Southern Glazer's Wines & Spirits of Missouri LLC, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Roger Degener filed a complaint on Jan. 30, in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that Edwards negligently operated a motor vehicle while working for Southern Glazer's Wines & Spirits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 15, 2016 he was driving on Meramec Street when Edwards crashed into him. He allegedly suffered injuries to his neck, back, chest, ribs, kidney, and lower and upper extremities.

The plaintiff holds Terry Edwards and Southern Glazer's Wines & Spirits of Missouri LLC responsible because Edwards allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to yield the right of way and failed to apply brakes when necessary.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $25,000, costs, and such other and further relief that are proper and just. He is represented by Justin D. Guerra of Holloran Schwartz & Gaertner LLP in St. Louis.
