ST. LOUIS — Two motorist are suing another driver, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Samuel Kim and Eunbee Jang filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Lin Zheng alleging that the other motorist failed to exercise the highest degree of care while operating a vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 3, 2017 Kim and Jang were traveling northbound on Hamley Road through its intersection with Interstate 64 when the defendant who was driving from the opposite direction carelessly made a left turn into their lane of traffic, causing a collision. They claim they suffered serious and permanent injuries to their neck, back, shoulders, arms and legs.
The plaintiffs holds Zheng responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently made a left turn when she did not have a green left-turn arrow, failed to yield the right of way and failed to keep proper lookout.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages in excess of $25,000, prejudgment interest, costs of court, and such other relief that are necessary and proper. They are represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone Sumner & Lauber in Clayton.
