ST. LOUIS — A pedestrian is suing B.C. Plumbers Company LLC, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Jennifer Gilcrease filed a complaint on Jan. 29 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against B.C. Plumbers Company LLC alleging that the company negligently allowed a sidewalk that it was responsible for to remain in a defective and dangerous condition.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov, 17, 2014 she fell into a hole in the sidewalk at 8110 North Broadway in St. Louis. She allegedly suffered serious and permanent injuries to her back and left leg, severe pain and mental anguish; and incurred medical expenses in excess of $14,000.
The plaintiff holds B.C. Plumbers Company responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly cover the hole, and failed to provide warning or barricade the dangerous area.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in excess of $25,000, plus costs expended herein. She is represented by Brian D. Kurth of Meyerkord & Meyerkord LLC in St. Louis.
