ST. LOUIS — Newlyweds are suing AEG Rentals Inc., Amerevent Tent Party Wedding & Events Rentals, et al., alleging unfair business practices.

Victor DeMarco and Rose Sparks filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they violated the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2017 they hired the defendants to provide a tent and setup for an upcoming wedding, but the defendants failed to provide the agreed-upon items as promised.

The plaintiffs hold AEG Rentals Inc., Amerevent Tent Party Wedding & Events Rentals, et al. responsible because they allegedly failed to deliver some of the items ordered, refused to return the $188.40 deposit for the fans that were not provided and arbitrarily deducted from their deposit with default fees for which they never agreed to contractually.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury ;and seek judgment in their favor, punitive damages, attorney's fees at $400 per hour, costs and expenses, and any other relief that is just and proper. They are represented by A Scott Waddell of Waddell Law Firm LLC in Kansas City.
