Summit Management Corporation of Fort Wayne accused of negligence after employee allegedly involved in car accident

ST. LOUIS — An individual is suing Summit Management Corporation of Fort Wayne for alleged negligent entrustment.

David Collor filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the St. Louis Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant negligently entrusted its motor vehicle to a careless employee.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was traveling along Aldine Avenue on April 22 when his vehicle allegedly was overtaken and struck from the rear by the defendant's vehicle, which allegedly was driven by its employee, Jeffrey Williams. The plaintiff claims that he suffered injuries to his neck, back and rotator cuff. He also alleges that he incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly following his vehicle too closely and for allegedly failing keep a proper lookout and stop before colliding with his vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, plus pre-judgment interest and court costs. He is represented by Donald L. Schlapprizzi of Donald L. Schlapprizzi PC in St. Louis.
