Automobile driver accused of negligence

ST. LOUIS — An automobile driver is suing Latonya Baker, another driver, for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Jeanette Lopez filed a complaint on Feb. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant violated City of St. Louis Ordinance Section 17.16.120(4).

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was traveling on North Fourth Street when the defendant allegedly drove down a lane reserved for parked vehicles and collided with the plaintiff's vehicle. The plaintiff claims that she suffered serious and permanent injuries to her neck and left shoulder. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to yield right of way, sound warnings and use evasive actions to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in a fair and reasonable amount, court costs and any other relief that is proper. She is represented by Kevin D. Wayman of Law Offices of Kevin D. Wayman in St. Louis.
