ST. LOUIS — A train attendant is suing National Railroad Passenger Corporation for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Amelia McCrary filed a complaint on Feb. 16 in the St. Louis Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe work environment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during the course of her employment with defendant from May 29, 1979 to May 31, 2015, she allegedly was subjected to violent shaking and excessive and repetitive unsafe ergonomic postures. As a result, she allegedly suffered serious and permanent injuries to her knees that will likely require surgery. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide safe appliances and methods for work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in a fair and reasonable amount in excess of $25,000, plus court costs and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by D. Matthew Greesen of Dreesen Law Firm LLC in Chesterfield.
