Majestic Hotel owners accused of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 14

ST. LOUIS — An employee is suing St. Pine Lodging LLC, doing business as The Majestic Hotel, alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.

Henry Brown filed a complaint on March 6 in the St. Louis Circuit Court alleging that the employer violated the Missouri Workers' Compensation Law.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 7, 2017 he was injured while working in the course and scope of his employment with the defendant. He subsequently exercised his rights by filing a claim for compensation benefits. He alleges he was constructively terminated on Aug. 27, 2017. He allegedly  suffered lost of income and benefits, emotional pain and suffering, degradation, and loss of self-esteem.

The plaintiff holds St. Pine Lodging responsible because the defendant allegedly retaliated against him by terminating his employment for exercising compensation rights.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, attorney fees, costs, and all other relief that are just and proper. He is represented by Charles R. Wooten of Roberts, Wooten & Zimmer LLC in Hillsboro.
