ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing Bernice Stockmann, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Gail Bergquist filed a complaint on March 6, in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court alleging that Stockmann breached her duty to exercise reasonable care while driving a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 5, 2017 she was traveling south on Wetson Road when the defendant, who was coming from the opposite direction, suddenly swerved her vehicle into the plaintiffs's lane, causing a head-on collision. She allegedly suffered injuries to her arm, neck, chest, knees and back.
The plaintiff holds Stockmann responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove her vehicle too fast for the existing condition, failed to keep control of her vehicle and failed to provide warning of her approach.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks compensatory damages plus costs of these proceedings, and all other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by George H. Albers of the Roth Law Offices LLC in Granite City.
