Bi-State passenger sues driver of car that hit bus

Car accident 12

ST. LOUIS — A bus passenger is suing Jesse McGlaughlin, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Laronn White filed a complaint on March 8 in the St. Louis Circuit Court alleging that McGlaughlin breached his duty to maintain his vehicle in his proper lane of traffic.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 3, 201, he was a passenger in a Bi-State bus when suddenly and without warning the defendant caused his vehicle to collide with the bus. White allegedly suffered serious and permanent injuries to his left leg, neck, and cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines; and incurred medical expenses in excess of $8,902.

The plaintiff holds McGlaughlin responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to use proper evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant in excess of $25,000, costs of court, and all other relief that are just and proper under the circumstances. He is represented by Sarah H. Hale of Ray B. Marglous PC in Clayton.
