Woman alleges injuries after I-64/40 rear-end collision

Car accident 18

ST. LOUIS – A woman is seeking more than $25,000 over alleged injuries and damages to her vehicle after a collision in St. Louis.

Amy Folkins filed a complaint on March 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Nickolas Madison alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 16, 2017, she was operating her 2011 Honda Odyssey on Interstate 64/40 when defendant negligently caused his vehicle to collide with the rear of her vehicle. She alleges the collision caused damages to her vehicle and depreciation of more than $10,000. She alleges she suffered serious and permanent injuries to her head, neck and upper back.

The plaintiff holds Madison responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to slacken speed or stop his vehicle before colliding with plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in a reasonable amount greater than $25,000, costs of court and all other relief that are proper. She is represented by James F. McMullin in St. Louis.
