Motorist seeks more than $25,000 over alleged damages incurred in St. Louis collision

Car accident 23

ST. LOUIS – A woman is seeking damages from a St. Louis man after a rear-end collision in the city.

Jamie Simpher filed a complaint on March 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Douglas A. Broleman alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 10, 2017, she was traveling north on Hampton Avenue and was about to turn left on Sunshine Avenue in St. Louis when defendant struck the rear of her vehicle. She alleges she suffered injuries to her neck and back and incurred medical bills of more than $2,100.

The plaintiff holds Broleman responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to sound warning of his approach and failed to reduce speed or stop before colliding with plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, costs of court and any other relief that are proper and just. She is represented by Gerhard J. Petzall of Law Office of Gerhard J. Petzall LLC in Chesterfield.
