Man alleges driver failed to keep proper lookout in St. Louis auto accident

Car accident 21

ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges he incurred $10,000 in medical expenses after his car was rear-ended in St. Louis.

Ozzie Payne filed a complaint on March 28 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Ernest Knight Jr. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 10, 2017, he was traveling west along Chippewa Avenue near its intersection with Morganford Avenue when defendant struck the rear of his vehicle. He alleges he suffered serious and permanent injuries to his cervical spine, lumbar spine and bilateral knees and incurred medical expenses of approximately $10,000 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Knight Jr. responsible because the defendant allegedly carelessly drove his vehicle at an excessive speed for the conditions and failed to keep proper lookout.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, costs of court and all other relief that is just and proper. He is represented by William K. Meehan of Meehan Law Firm in University City.
