ST. LOUIS – A nurse alleges she worked in a hostile environment while she was employed by a St. Louis nursing home.

Stephania J. Brooks filed a complaint on March 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Northview Village Inc. alleging sex discrimination, harassment and retaliation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed as a nurse by the defendant from November 2014 until she was constructively discharged in March 2016. She alleges she was subjected to a hostile work environment and was sexually propositioned by a female supervisor.

The plaintiff holds Northview Village Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly retaliated against her by constructively terminating her employment after she reported violations of Title VII.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages in an amount of more than $25,000, with interest, costs of court, attorney fees and all other relief that is proper and just. She is represented by Anthony S. Bretz of Kodner Watkins LC in St. Louis.
