ST. LOUIS – A customer alleges she was injured in a St. Louis store's parking lot because of ice.
DePrice Douglas filed a complaint on April 9 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Shop N' Save St. Louis Inc. and CJH Lawn Service & Snow Removal LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 17, 2017, she was injured when she slipped and fell due to accumulated ice on the parking lot of Shop N' Save's store located at 4660 Chippewa St. in St. Louis. She alleges she suffered injuries to her left wrist, left upper arm, left ribs, left shoulder, neck and back.
The plaintiff holds Shop N' Save St. Louis Inc. and CJH Lawn Service & Snow Removal LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to remove the ice at the common area associated with the premises and failed to barricade the same until they were properly removed.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in a fair and reasonable amount, costs of court and any other relief that is proper and just. She is represented by Michelle K. Faron and Daniel J. McMichael of McMichael, Logan & Keersemaker in Kirkwood.
