Driver alleges I-55 rear-end collision injured neck, back

Car accident 01

ST. LOUIS – A Jefferson City man is seeking damages after a rear-end collision on Interstate 55.

Patrick Wilkins filed a complaint on April 9 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Nicole Cage, Breanna Kreittler and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 21, 2015, he was traveling northbound on I-55 in St. Louis and was stopped for traffic when Cage struck the rear of his vehicle. The suit states Kreittler struck Cage's vehicle from behind. He alleges the collision injured his neck and back and caused him to incur medical expenses.

At the time of the accident, the suit states the plaintiff was covered by an automobile insurance policy issued by defendant State Farm that included underinsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff holds Cage, Kreittler and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. responsible because the defendants Cage and Kreittler allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop, swerve or reduce speed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants of more than $25,000, and all other relief that is just and proper. He is represented by Charles R. Wooten of Roberts, Wooten & Zimmer LLC in Hillsboro, Missouri.
