Woman alleges driver was intoxicated in St. Louis auto accident

Car accident 45

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she was injured when the vehicle she was in was struck by an intoxicated driver in St. Louis.

Erica Davis filed a complaint on April 11 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Berrell Davis alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept, 3, 2017, she was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on North 20th Street near Cass Avenue in St. Louis and the defendant struck the vehicle. The suit states the defendant was intoxicated at the scene of the accident.

She alleges suffered severe and disabling injuries, medical expenses and lost wages as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to the right of way, drove at an excessive rate of speed, violated a traffic signal and drove while intoxicated.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in a reasonable amount of more than $25,000, costs of court, interest and any other relief that are proper and just. She is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
