Motorist seeks uninsured motorist coverage from Farmers Insurance

Insurance 06

ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges he is entitled to uninsured motorist coverage from his insurer for damages sustained in a St. Louis County collision.

Aron Sy filed a complaint on April 17 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Farmers Insurance Co. Inc. alleging that the licensed insurer breached the covenant of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 7, he was injured in an automobile accident on West Florissant Road in St. Louis County when an unknown driver, who did not have a motor vehicle liability insurance, violently collided with his vehicle. He alleges he suffered injuries to his head, neck, back and right leg and incurred medical expenses for which he demanded payment under the insurance policy issued by the defendant.

The plaintiff holds Farmers Insurance Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay plaintiff's claim for uninsured motorist benefits.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that are just and proper. He is represented by John E. Tresslar and David B. Granat, both in St. Louis.
