Insurance 09

ST. LOUIS – A motorcycle rider is seeking uninsured motorist coverage from his insurer for damages he alleges he sustained in an accident last year.

John France filed a complaint on April 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Foremost Property and Casualty Insurance Co. alleging that the liability insurer failed to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 29, 2017, he was injured while riding his motorcycle due to the carelessness and negligence of an uninsured driver in Warren County. The suit states that at the time of the accident, he was insured under the policy issued by defendant, which contained uninsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs of court and all other relief that are just and proper. He is represented by Michael J. Sudekum of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
