ST. LOUIS – Two passengers allege they were injured in a St. Louis collision because the driver failed to keep a proper lookout.

Laura E. Ramirez-Estrada and Keit M. Marrufo Barrientos filed a complaint on May 2 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Dustin Parres and Eloy Navarrete alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Dec. 15, 2013, they were passengers in a motor vehicle owned by Ramirez-Estrada and operated by Navarrete traveling on South Kingshighway Boulevard in St. Louis. The suit states Navarrete collided with Parres, causing damage to Ramirez-Estrada's vehicle and injuries to both plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs hold Parres and Navarrete responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently drove their respective vehicles at excessive rates of speed, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield to the right of way.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants for compensatory damages, post-judgment interest, costs of court and all other relief that is just and proper. They are represented by Scott A. Hunter of Hunter & Cassidy LLC in Kansas City.
