Woman alleges St. Louis rear-end collision injured neck, back

Car accident 20

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman alleges that a driver followed her vehicle too closely and caused a collision in St. Louis.

Jessica Demsko filed a complaint on May 2 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Chris Hoegemeier alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 20, 2017, she was traveling south on Hampton Avenue in St. Louis when defendant struck the rear of her vehicle. She alleges she suffered injuries to her neck and back, medical expenses, lost wages and loss of enjoyment of life as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Hoegemeier responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle too fast for the conditions, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to apply his brakes to avoid collision.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, costs of court and all other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Justin D. Guerra of Holloran Schwartz & Gaertner LLP in St. Louis.
