Motorist alleged to have followed vehicle too closely in I-70 collision

Car accident 42

ST. LOUIS – A driver is alleged to have followed a vehicle too closely in a collision on an interstate in St. Louis.

Stephanie Uhls filed a complaint on May 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Timothy Geldmacher alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 15, 2013, she was injured when the defendant caused the vehicle he was driving to strike the rear of her vehicle on Interstate 70 near its intersection with Market Street. She alleges she suffered injuries to her neck and jaws and incurred medical expenses as a result of the auto accident.

The plaintiff holds Geldmacher responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive rate of speed, failed to keep a proper lookout and followed her vehicle too closely.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, costs of court and all other relief that is appropriate. She is represented by Scott L. Kolker of DeFeo & Kolker LLC in Clayton.
