ST. LOUIS – A motorist is seeking damages from a driver who struck her vehicle head-on and her insurer.
Chaz Hamber filed a complaint on May 16 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Brashon Wilson and GEICO Casualty Insurance alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 13, 2017, she was traveling northbound on North Kingshighway towards Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis when defendant Wilson crossed the double-lined median, entered oncoming traffic and caused a head-on collision with her vehicle.
She alleges suffered severe and permanent injuries to her chest, thorax, back and neck as a result of the collision. At the time of the accident, the suit states she was covered under the insurance policy issued by defendant GEICO.
The plaintiff holds Wilson and GEICO Casualty Insurance responsible because defendant Wilson allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to maintain in his proper lane and negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive speed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against each defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs of court and any other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Bryan J. Sanger of Mandel and Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
