Man seeks damages from Mister Porter Hauling, employee after he was struck on I-55

Car accident 43

ST. LOUIS – Damages are being sought from a company and an employee after the employee struck a man and his vehicle on Interstate 55.

David Smith filed a complaint on May 21 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Mister Porter Hauling LLC and Kenneth Dixon alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 10, 2015, he had pulled over his car on the shoulder of Interstate 55 near the Park Avenue exit and had just gotten out of his vehicle when Dixon, who was driving a vehicle owned by Mister Porter, lost control and struck the plaintiff's vehicle and the plaintiff. The plaintiff alleges his neck, shoulder, arm and elbow were injured as a result.

The plaintiff holds Mister Porter Hauling LLC and Dixon responsible because Dixon allegedly negligently drove at an excessive speed, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to yield.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in a fair and reasonable amount, costs of court, attorney fees and all other relief that are proper and just. He is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
