Driver alleged to have violated red light, cause Pelham Avenue collision

Car accident 02

ST. LOUIS – A driver and passenger allege they were injured at a St. Louis intersection when another driver violated a red light.

Jeanette Gaines and Jametric Steele filed a complaint on May 29 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Jonathon Pitts alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 1, 2017, they were injured when their vehicle was struck by defendant's vehicle at the intersection of Pelham Avenue and N. Broadway Street in St. Louis.

The plaintiffs hold Pitts responsible because the defendant allegedly violated the red traffic signal.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in favor of each plaintiff in a sum greater than $25,000, costs of court and all other relief that are just and proper. They are represented by Ely Hadowsky of Brown & Brown LLP in St. Louis.
