Woman alleges driver entered lane, caused collision at Chain of Rocks Road intersection

Car accident 03

ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges another motorist entered her lane and caused a collision in St. Louis.

Jahmiya Cannon filed a complaint on May 29 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Robert Mennemeir, doing business as Mennemeir Farms, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 19, 2017, she suffered injuries to her head, neck, back and left side when the defendant negligently caused the truck he was driving to collide with her vehicle at the intersection of Chain of Rocks Road and Riverview Boulevard in St. Louis. The suit states the defendant entered the plaintiff's lane and caused the collision.

The plaintiff holds Mennemeir responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently travelled at an unreasonably high speed given the condition, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to slacken speed and/or swerve to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favor in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that are equitable and just. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab in St. Louis.
