ST. LOUIS – A mother and son are seeking damages from the city of St. Louis after a city employee struck their vehicle at an intersection.

Nykea Adams and Damarion Morris Jr. filed a complaint on June 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Andrew Kelley and the city of St. Louis alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 1, 2017, they were injured in an auto collision due to the carelessness of defendant Kelley at the intersection of Goodfellow and West Florissant in St. Louis. The suit states Kelley was a St. Louis city employee at the time of the collision.

They allege they suffered injuries to their necks and backs and incurred medical expenses as a result of the collision.

The plaintiffs hold Kelley and City of St. Louis responsible because defendant Kelley allegedly drove his vehicle too fast for the condition and made an illegal turn.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount consistent with the jurisdictional limits of the court and all further relief that are just and proper. They are represented by Lorenzo Hester in St. Louis.
